Intouchables is
a French movie that played in November 2011. It’s based on a true story, but it
is not all faithful. Last year, I’ve seen in Peace’s class. This year, I saw
that in Jenny’s class.
Philippe, a
businessman, who was injured in an accident and became quadriplegic. When his assistant
interviews a new caregiver, he rejects all the professionals and chose Driss, a
young ex-con with a Senegalese background, to be his new caregiver. Needless to
say, an unexpected friendship grows between these two opposites. For Philip,
his most promising thing is not to win others’ sympathy. Driss makes Philippe
feel respected and Philippe helps Driss to find his value. This is a charming,
heartwarming comedy, humor everywhere. I really loved this movie and I recommend
everyone to watch it.
